BarnOwl was a proud sponsor of the IMFO ‘Good Governance – The Long Walk’ Conference that took place from the 6th to the 8th of October, 2014 at the CTICC in Cape Town. The conference was addressed by the Office of The Department of Cooperative Governance (DCoG) and the National Treasury Office.

The IMFO Conference is a flagship event for finance officials in Local Government with an attendance of roughly 2000 delegates. The theme and topics focused on were how municipalities can improve on good governance and how far they have come to ensure better delivery of services. A line-up of great speakers were in attendance, including Alderman Patricia de Lille – Mayor of City of Cape Town Municipality; Pravin Gordhan – Minister of Cooperative Governance & Traditional Affairs, and Xolile George – CEO of SALGA, to name a few.
