BarnOwl will be the Gold Sponsors at the Institute of Internal Auditors Breakfast forum which will be taking place on Wednesday, 18 June 2014.
The event, which will be held at The Wanderers Club in Illovo, Johannesburg, invites Internal Audit Industry leaders to discuss the preventive role Internal Auditors need to play in helping to avert particular events.
The panel will discuss the role Internal Auditors could have played in preventing the disappearance of the Malaysian Airlines Flight 370, the controversial security upgrades at Nkandla and the recent system failures which caused the Gautrain and Heathrow services to be delayed, amongst other incidences.
The panel includes Investec Bank Chief Audit Executive, Stuart Mansfield, ABSA Chief Audit Executive, Greg Warland, PwC and Chairperson of the IIA SA Board, Shirley Machaba and UNISA Senior lecturer, Barry Ackers.
All members of the IIA SA Johannesburg Region are invited to attend. The event will take place from 6.30 am to 10.30 am.
